Long term Care

There is a global need for comprehensive strategies to improve long-term care: population
aging with complex health needs; workforce shortages of skilled caregivers and health
professionals; high costs of long-term care services, often causing financial strain for
individuals and families; care coordination across the health and social sectors and across
various providers and settings; family caregivers who provide significant unpaid care; access
and equity to long-term care services; and high-quality care across long-term care facilities
are the many challenges faced by this sector. We provide specialized analysis and advice to
Governments to tackle the challenges in long-term care and give actionable
recommendations.
